Carly’s 2 Cents: And If I’m Wrong Then Let Me Be Wrong

The song I chose for today is called “Leave Me Alone” by J. Cole and Kevin Cossom.  Apparently J. Cole wrote the verses and entitled the song “Problems” before he decided to send it to Kevin Cossom, who successfully created an awesome hook for the song.

This is a great song to jam out to with your friends or play in your car.  It’s also perfect for the carefree vibe that comes along with summer vacation.  While I will refrain from getting all political on you guys, I would encourage you to listen to some of Cole’s classic one-liners, my favorite in particular being in the second verse “With your flashlight, tell me what do you see/ Thug n****s, drug dealers, its a trip / every n***a in this whip got a mothaf****n college degree.” Gotta love J. Cole…

I’ll end my post with the words of Tyler in reference to J. Cole, “There’s a reason he was the first one signed to Jay-Z’s record label!”
