I downloaded one of the free singles of the week on iTunes back in December and became quite a fan of the song. “Down by the Water” by the Decemberists has come to be one of my latest “repeat songs.” The track is similar to their usual music, faintly folky country-rock. Lead singer, Colin Meloy, states that their upcoming album is heavily influenced by R.E.M., which you’ll definitely hear in “Down by the Water.”Down By The Water
