Youth Lagoon is 22-year-old Trevor Powers' one-man-band.  Although, originally from Boise, Idaho, Powers has made the move, having signed with fantastic Mississippi indie record label, Fat Possum, sister label to Epitaph Records, which is home to Weezer (you may know them).

One of his latest, “Cannons,” is really unique.  The soft melodic track sounds muffled and poorly recorded, however that’s what makes it so intriguing.  Supposedly the song was recorded in a four-car garage, which is why it has some crazy reverb. 

It’s a great song to listen to while you lay in bed relaxing, so check it out below and let me know what you think!
